A WORLD BETWEEN 2D & 3D
2024

furrance glass, color glass powders, strings.
This piece is part of a series of 4–5 glass works created in the hot shop, exploring the interplay between two-dimensional imagery and the three-dimensional world that glass uniquely brings to life. At the heart of the composition is a simple drawing of a small home nestled in a field—a quiet symbol of comfort and belonging. By embedding this image within layers of molten glass and experimenting with color and form, I sought to examine how flat visuals transform when shaped in space. The work reflects the idea of “homecoming”—a grounding, peaceful presence that remains constant, no matter the chaos outside its boundaries.
